		Since setting up business in Aberdeenshire in 1988, the Tom S. Ironside Furniture Group have established an enviable reputation for the production, repair and restoration of fine furniture and quality wood products including chessboards & backgammon boards. Over the years, the group have built on early successes, moved into larger purpose built premises in the small villiage of Finzean in Aberdeenshire, and extended the range of services offered. Examples of the group's work adorn Trinity Hall, home of the Seven Incorporated Trades of Aberdeen where meticulous French Polishing transforms many pieces and recently the group received an award for Best Traditional Business in the Scottish Countryside Alliance Awards 2008.

Since the wasteful 80's more and more people are getting into repair, restoration and recycling, and furniture is no exception. All types of furniture can be restored to it's former glory, often for a fraction of replacement cost. The group have a policy of using wood from sustainable sources, and will use reclaimed timber where appropriate.

Over the last few years the group have been busily working on a number of furniture repair and restoration projects in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire which you can see examples of throughout the site and in addition have been taking bookings for what have proven to be very popular classes in Furniture Repair and Restoration and French Polishing.
